Code of Conduct

Last updated, 19 April 2026

Tabletop role-playing games work when everyone at the table feels welcome and safe. This Code of Conduct applies to every user of the Platform (players, GMs, and Table Captains), whether they're in a session, messaging each other, or interacting through sixsided in any other way.

  1. Expected behaviour
  2. Unacceptable behaviour

  4. Enforcement
  5. GM responsibilities
  6. Amendments

1. Expected behaviour

  • Treat everyone at the table with courtesy.
  • Welcome players regardless of background, identity, or experience.
  • Honour the safety tools in use at the table (Lines & Veils, X-Card, Open Door, etc.). When a safety tool is invoked, respect it immediately and without argument.
  • Respect boundaries, both those agreed before the session and those raised during play.
  • Show up on time. If you can't make it, tell the table in advance.
  • Play in good faith.

2. Unacceptable behaviour

The following can lead to warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform:

  • Harassment, including unwanted contact, intimidation, threats, or deliberately disrupting sessions.
  • Discrimination, including slurs, hate speech, or excluding people based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Sexual misconduct, including unwanted sexual content, advances, or behaviour, in-game or out.
  • Bullying, targeted hostility, mockery, or deliberate exclusion.
  • Pressuring others to move off-platform, accept off-platform payment, or bypass Platform policies.
  • Misrepresenting sessions, credentials, or identity.
  • Punishing someone for reporting a concern or invoking a safety tool.

3. Reporting

If you experience or witness a violation:

  • During a session: use the relevant safety tool. You can always leave a session (Open Door).
  • After a session: report it through the Platform, or email safety@sixsided.quest.

Reports are reviewed confidentially. We won't share who made a report without their consent, except where required by law.

4. Enforcement

We review every report. Responses may include:

  • A private warning.
  • Temporary suspension from the Platform.
  • Permanent removal from the Platform.
  • Refunds to affected players where appropriate.

The response will be proportionate to the behaviour and its impact. Repeated or serious violations lead to permanent removal.

5. GM responsibilities

GMs set the tone for their tables. On top of everything above, GMs must:

  • Describe content boundaries and safety tools clearly in their session listings.
  • Facilitate a safe and inclusive environment during play.
  • Respond appropriately when a player invokes a safety tool.
  • Never use their position to pressure, manipulate, or exploit players.

6. Amendments

We may update this Code of Conduct as the community grows. We'll notify registered users of material changes.
