What is sixsided?

sixsided is an indie-firstmarketplace for paid Table-Top RPG (TTRPG) sessions with professional Game Masters (GMs). This is a place to find great games, great company and have fun. It's where you can find your table.

2.

Who is sixsided for?

  • Players who want to explore more of what TTRPGs can do. To explore beyond the same few games that have dominated the scene for decades, and to find tables that fit your playstyle and taste. Games that elevate the hobby and make it more inclusive, diverse and fun.
  • GMs who want to run games that they are passionate about. That want somewhere to handle bookings, get paid on time, and build a reputation that helps build a community, around their games.
3.

Where is sixsided available?

UK only at launch.

We're starting in the UK to focus on building a great experience for one market first. We're starting from nothing, and it's important that we get the details right for our first users. The UK has a vibrant TTRPG scene, and it's a manageable size for our tiny team to support.

Expanding to other regions is a priority, but it will take time to get the team in place. Sign up for updates if you'd like to be notified when we launch in your area.

4.

Online or in-person games?

Online only at launch.

IRL is out of scope while we work with the community on the best model. One that is safe, reliable and scalable. We know many players and GMs want in-person play, but there are a lot of tricky details to get right around safety, payments, cancellations and no-shows. We want to get those right before we support this.

5.

What time slots are available at launch?

We're starting small. Fewer slots means more players at each table, and a better chance the session actually runs. Expect this to change rapidly after launch, but the initial slots will be:

  • Tue 19:30
  • Wed 19:30
  • Thu 19:30
  • Sat 14:00
  • Sun 18:00

No "TBD" or ad-hoc scheduling at launch.

We will be adding more slots as soon as we can, and will work with the community to find the best times for everyone.
6.

What games are supported at launch?

Provisional launch set:

More systems will follow. We will work with the community to determine what to add next. We want to support a wide variety of games, but we also want to make sure that each game has a good experience on the platform.

7.

How are bookings handled?

If a session is listed on sixsided, every player at the table books through sixsided. That's how the platform stays accountable and safe.

We have some super exciting plans for how connections are made on sixsided in the future, and can't wait to share them. But for now, we want to be clear that if it's listed on sixsided, it has to be booked on sixsided.

8.

Can a GM ask me to pay via PayPal/bank transfer for a sixsided booking?

No. If it's listed on sixsided, it must be paid for through sixsided. Asking you to pay elsewhere for a sixsided booking counts as circumvention as is in breach of our terms, and it's not allowed.

9.

Can we take a sixsided campaign off-platform after the first session?

No. Any relationship established on sixsided stays on sixsided for that campaign/series.

GMs can run one-shots or campaigns on sixsided. However we expect most to be built around long-form play, long-term campaigns, and repeat tables.

10.

Why would I keep paying on-platform?

Because on-platform sessions unlock:

  • Verified Sessions (reviews, session history, ranking signals)
  • reviews and session histories
  • dispute handling and chargeback support
  • no-show rules and reliability tracking
11.

How are refunds handled?

  • If a GM cancels or materially misrepresents a session: refunds are guaranteed.
  • Player no-shows are governed by our refund policy.
  • Our policies aim to make refunds rare and painless if they happen.
  • Credits may be offered at discretion.
12.

What happens if someone no-shows?

Defaults:

  • GM no-show / session not delivered: full refund
  • Player no-show: typically no refund, unless there's strong evidence of platform fault.

Life happens, so we offer a grace period of 15 minutes from the session start time. If anyone is late but joins within that window, it's not considered a no-show.

13.

Can I book a whole table for friends who don't have accounts?

Not at launch.

We plan support a table captain model, and will add this as soon as we can. The idea is that one person can book and pay for the whole table, and then share a secure invite link with their friends. The captain takes responsibility for their guests' conduct, and all players are expected to follow our code of conduct.

14.

Are GMs employees of sixsided?

No. GMs are treated as independent sellers. Only the platform itself is provided by sixsided. GMs set their own prices, run their own games, and have control over their own schedules.
